In this release we present a new user interface with buttons and this stuff more orderly and easy to use, also of new features.
Now you can filter and sort the search results for an improved usage.
The player is moved and fixed at the bottom of the screen and now is showing the current playing time and a seek bar. Unfortunately the track seeking is not currently supported but is planned for following versions.
Also, some bugs fixed and improved the song change notification feature.
This release is one step closer to the 0.6 release. Thanks to Damian the source code was refactored and now it's easier for us to develop all the cool and new features we want to develop for you.
The stability was improved like the start speed. The download manager is working and fully functional. The GUI got some minor improvements.
Last.fm support was also improved
A lot of bug fixes
The new major release of gSharkDown was finally released And now you can get familiar with the new features that are included in the new release.
One of the most important things that we wanted to implement is a playlist that looks like the one on grooveshark, where the playlist items
are in a row with covers. We think that it will be cooler and nicer in the main window. And with that done, now we have more space for search results
and download manager. We are still considering some more cooler stuff for the next release, and perhaps you will have this cool cover switcher like the one seen
on many apple products.
The download manager is no more in an Expander, since we wantet to clean the interface, so now it is in a separate tab, where you will have the whole window. This way you can have more control over your downloads. And we have more ways to extend the download manager functionallity.
There you have it - a new button to show your love to a current playing song. Just enable scrobbling, put the data about your accout (username / password) and
Start listening and scrobbling. If you love a song, just hit the button and you love will be shown in your Last.fm profile.
There are still many distributions that just don't have the AppIndicator, so in order to support as many distributions as possible, now the dependency of python-appindicator is not required. If your desktop environment has AppIndicator support it will be used, otherwise the old Status Icon will be shown in your System tray.
Before we release the 0.5 version grooveshark made some major changes in their service, so we had to see how our application can fix the problems comming with this change so the release 0.5 was not working, and 0.5.1 added the option to inform you that there are some changes in the internal API, that we need to fix. So 0.5.2 is the release giving you all the new cool features that are actualy working.
We still need to improve the download manager. Currently it can stop a download, but after resuiming it there is no way to stop it again. On the other side, when exiting the application the download list is stored, so you can continue your downloads. Unfortunately continueing a download doesn't work the way we are expeting it to do, so be patient - we will fix it for the next release.
